Dhoni’s first ever ODI stumping

Indian Legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been regarded as the best finisher in the world, but he has also proved his worth behind the stumps. His unbelievable wicket-keeping skills & flashy work behind the stumps makes him arguably the best keeper ever to graze the Cricket field. Be it under-arm flicks without looking at the stumps or whipping off the bails in a flash, the former India skipper is considered as “Faster than Usain Bolt”. Dhoni achieved another milestone in the ODI series against Sri-Lanka when he became the first man in world cricket to effect 100 stumpings in One Day Internationals.

It took 301 ODIs for M.S.Dhoni to achieve this feat who made his debut in 2004 against Bangladesh but do you know who was at the bowler’s end when Dhoni affect his 1st ever ODI stumping?? He was none other than Master Blaster, Sachin Tendulkar. In the 3rd match of Bangladesh series on 27th December 2004. M.S.Dhoni stumped Rajan Saleh on Sachin’s delivery who became his 1st ever victim. Later in the same match, Dhoni stumped Mortaza too again on Master Blaster’s delivery.
